The NASEO Transportation Committee works to identify pressing transportation-energy issues and explore innovative program and policy design that supports the use of electric and alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure, as well as understand the implications of automated vehicles and advanced mobility. During this Committee meeting, members will hear about a new electric vehicle (EV) policy roadmap for states, engage in a roundtable to explore challenges and opportunities at the state level, highlight state planning efforts under the Volkswagen Settlement, and identify priority topics for the Committee to address in the coming year. Specific questions that Committee members will be asked to address during the roundtable include:
• How is your state coordinating with others in your region on EV infrastructure investment and vehicle deployment? What specific issues are you tackling together?
• How is your state supporting Alternative Fuel Corridor development under the U.S. Department of Transportation’s FAST Act? What challenges are you facing with regards to infrastructure and signage implementation?
• What topics would you like the NASEO Transportation Committee to explore in the coming year? Is there specific support that would help your office achieve your transportation-related priorities?
